Fire Instructor 1
- Description:
- Prerequisite: Personnel must be trained to the level of basic firefighter as specified in Title 25 of OCGA.
This program addresses the job performance requirements of the National Fire Protection Agency, 1041 Standard for Fire Service Instructor Qualifications, Instructor 1. The course prepares the program participants for planning instruction, using a variety of methods, teaching diverse learners, and evaluating course outcomes.
The course also provides guidelines for addressing the critical issues of safety and the legal issues of training, and it provides opportunities to participate in application activities.
Special Notes: Students should have a working knowledge of computers and A/V equipment commonly used in making presentations. Note: Students will have to bring with them a copy of the IFSTA Fire Services and Emergency Services Instructor, 7th edition. Laptop computers and usb flash drives are very helpful to have if they are available to you.

Note:
Please Register no later than 4 weeks prior to the start date
Must have a minimum of 8 students
Personnel attending should do so either off duty or ensure their CO can provide coverage during the class hours. This will ensure that students will not miss course information and can focus on the training.
